InTheKnowla Knows a Good Boil
Thursday, May 10, 2012
Boiling crawfish is an art form. Crawfish, potatoes, corn, sausage, onions, and garlic are must-haves, seasoned to perfection with that kick of Louisiana crab boil. You know, that boiled crawfish that makes you blow your nose a couple times when sucking the heads and makes you inhale sharply and say, “Ooh wee!” That’s the kind of crawfish we talkin’ bout!

And in reality, not everyone has this talent. But when you know somebody who can ‘boil some crawfish,’ it’s like Christmas time when they pour them out on the long table with everybody standing elbow to elbow. Makes us say “Oooh weee!” all over again!

Well, this Saturday, there’s gonna be plenty people screaming “Ooh wee” at the University of New Orleans’ 1st annual Crawfish Mambo Cook-off & Music Festival on the Lake. If you haven’t had your crawfish fill yet New Orleans, now’s the time!

Eater NOLA Features Crawfish Mambo
Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Eater NOLA highlighted Crawfish Mambo among a listing of food events coming to New Orleans in the next few weekends. Click here to check out the nod! The gastronomic blog also posted a story via The Advocate regarding two men who were caught stealing 166 pounds of crawfish. One of them is still being held on $26,000 bail. Perhaps he just couldn't wait, but we encourage you to hold out until May 12th. $15 for all-you-can-eat crawfish seems like a much better bargain.
